On 25-26th May, 2007, a conference „Identity construction in contemporary Russia: Ideas, institutions, practices“ was held on the base of the Novgorod CASE

The conference discussed intermediate outcomes of current network interregional projects being carried out by Centers for Advanced Study and Education, especially „Russia’s future: an outlook from the regions (Social sphere)“.

The leaders of the conference:

• Professor, Director of the International relationship center, Institute of Sociology, Russian Academy of Science, Leokadia Drobizheva;
• Head of the Chair of General philology theory, Moscow State University, Tatiana Venediktova;
