The conference „Regional development challenges of EU border regions in the context of the interaction between the EU and countries of its immediate „neighbourhood““

The University of Tartu invites scholars to the conference „Regional development challenges of EU border regions in the context of the interaction between the EU and countries of its immediate „neighbourhood““.

The conference will take place on 16 — 17 June 2008 in Tartu, Estonia. It will discuss regional development challenges and opportunities of the EU’s easternmost regions in the context of the interaction between the EU with the countries of its immediate «neighbourhood» — Russia and other CIS countries — Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine. The conference will be followed by a summer school on 18 — 21 June that will take place in Tartu — Varska, Estonia; and Pechory — Pskov, Russia. The conference and the summer school are organised by the University of Tartu, Peipsi Centre for Transboundary Cooperation, Estonian Foreign Policy Institute and Institute for Advanced Studies — Vienna.
